All about wood.

The new furniture collection by EMKO

Celebrating culture of collaboration and sustainable manufacturing, our team enables designers with an authentic vision to develop and realise their ideas to reach a global audience of design devotees.

This year, we launched six new products that complement our previous collections with a beautiful wooden texture and vintage-like feel. All pieces are created by emerging designers from Italy, Lithuania, and Spain.

„The new items reflect EMKO’s passion for woodwork and wooden texture. Lithuania has a strong tradition in wooden furniture making, and it is very well highlighted in our collection, too. With nine years of experience, we manage this industry well and with great enthusiasm”, – says EMKO founder Erika Markovska Mikulskienė.

Besides the eye-catching looks, wooden furniture is sustainable and long-lasting. Wooden items are also sturdy – solid wood ensures that the furniture is durable and able to support the weight.

The new products feature straight clean lines and minimalistic designs that nicely match other EMKO products, this way encouraging customers to feel playful about arranging EMKO pieces and creating authentic spaces.

Now, let’s take a look at the new arrivals – from side tables to sofas and pendant lights.

Citizen Side Table by etc.etc.

Available in two sizes, Citizen Side Table follows the same aesthetics as the Citizen dining set: uncovered round legs expose the clean structure of the table and highlight the beauty of wooden texture. As a reference to vintage expressions, the Citizen Side Table features a bottom shelf for magazines, books, or other daily belongings. Meanwhile, an ample tabletop allows you to showcase your favourite interior accessories, fresh bouquets or serve a coffee set for your guests.

Citizen Coffee Table will find itself useful in living rooms or lounges – a smooth rectangular shape works well with various seating furniture or as an extension to other Citizen pieces.

Hoya Chair by Luigi Vittorio Cittadini

The inspiration behind the Hoya Chair comes from plants — their growth, development, and the opening of large, reassuring, and enveloping leaves. It is a small tribute to mother nature and her protectiveness but also a reminder of her fragility.

Hoya chair consists of a black metal frame and veneered plywood backrest and seat, available in three finishes — natural oil, black or walnut paint. Compact Hoya chairs are also stackable and come in a flat pack, this way being sustainable in terms of transportation and packaging, too.

Due to its urban look, the Hoya chair is ideal for relaxed atmosphere restaurants, lounges, or dining rooms. The creative character of this chair makes it also perfect for workshops and studios.

Paragraph Shelf by etc.etc.

Wall-mounted Paragraph Shelf by etc.etc. studio is an excellent piece for both storage and display.

These open shelves seem as if they are effortlessly floating on the wall. Yet, they are quite sturdy and designed to hold heavy items. Produced out of beautiful slabs of oak, these smooth shelves are also sustainable and highlight the eye-catching texture of wood.

Paragraph shelves provide generous surface space, too — enough to store books, plants, or home decor pieces. What is more, each shelf has decorative grooves cut into solid wood that divide the surface into squares — that’s right, as if the paragraphs of your favourite story.

Finally, the shelves come in four sizes and can be arranged in various compositions, allowing you to create a unique expression of the room.

An optional bookend may be added to each shelf for books to lean on.

Pinion Side Table by Simone Affabris

Pinion is a collection of coffee and side tables inspired by a round gear.

The starting point for this project comes from observing mechanical gears in different artefacts.

“I have always been fascinated by mechanical constructions and joinery in general. The pinion gear allows several movements in mechanics, and this very interconnection between different gears has inspired me to create this collection of tables,” — says designer Simone Affabris.

Pinion tables are available in three sizes and heights. Each table is made from oiled oak wood and features a round brass plate right at the centre of the tabletop. This subtle detail not only adds a sophisticated touch but extends the concept of mechanics to the materials and final appearance of the table.

Lightweight Pinion tables can be arranged individually or in a composition of your choice. The tables are convenient when decorating living rooms, welcoming guests in the lounge area or may serve as elegant bedside tables. What is more, the clever construction allows flat packing Pinion tables for easy transportation or compact storage when not in use.

Saler Modular Sofa by Santiago Sevillano

Originally, Saler is a beach in Valencia (Spain) characterized by its dunes and vegetation. The place is famous for its serene atmosphere to enjoy the Mediterranean Sea.

Inspired by the curved shapes of these dunes, Santiago Sevillano created a silhouette of the Saler modular sofa. Due to its design, this sofa allows multiple combinations of seats and invites you to relax as if it is a sunny day at the beach. The upholstered part of the sofa rests on a wooden base inspired by boardwalks leading through the dunes to the seashore.

Spiedino Pendant Lamp by Whynot!

Spiedino — which in Italian means skewer — is a name chosen for the visual similarity of elements strung along a single axis. It also recalls the Italian vibe and tradition, famous for art, food, handicrafts, and design.

The eye-catching Spiedino Pendant Lamp is, in fact, designed in Italy by Whynot design studio and is the result of a rhythmic game between simple yet balanced shapes. Crafted from high-quality materials — solid ash and fabric — Spiedino Lamp focuses not only on the aesthetics and beauty of the item but also on its sustainability and circularity.

A playful and elegant Spiedino Lamp is versatile and suitable for each environment. It comes in two sizes and four colour palettes to choose from.
